Walk for Wai

HPJ joined community water protectors and local social justice organizations for the Walk for Wai on December 10, 2022, after the Navyʻs most recent spill of AFFF, a fire retardant designed to put out fuel fires, which contains “forever chemicals” known as PFAS that cause cancer and other serious health issues.

HPJ board member Pete Doktor was featured as one of the closing speakers on this 3.5 mile march from Keʻehi lagoon to the Navy Exchange to tell the Navy, Enough is enough!
